How Engagements Work
A structured, diagnostic-first approach to operational readiness.
Operational readiness problems are rarely solved by jumping straight to training or process changes. Effective work starts with diagnosis, then targeted correction.
Engagements follow a clear, structured approach designed to reduce risk, prevent misaligned effort, and deliver measurable improvement.
Tier 1: Operational Readiness Assessment
Purpose:
Identify where readiness breaks down and quantify risk before changes are made.
Most organizations already sense where problems exist. The assessment replaces assumptions with observable data.
This phase exists to replace assumptions with observable, defensible data.
What This Includes
-
Observation of real operational workflows
-
Interviews with technical staff, leads, and managers
-
Review of training, procedures, and documentation
-
Application of readiness frameworks:
-
Human dependency risk
-
Training-to-execution alignment
-
Confidence under scale
- Cross-functional execution translation
-
What You Receive
-
Quantified readiness scores
-
Clear articulation of risks and constraints
-
Evidence-based findings
-
A defensible assessment appendix explaining methodology
What This Is Not
-
Not training development
-
Not implementation
-
Not a commitment to additional work
At the end of the assessment, you own the findings and may act on them internally if you choose.
This is a deliberate decision point.
Decision Point
After the assessment, clients typically choose one of three paths:
-
Use the findings internally
-
Engage targeted corrective support (Tier 2)
-
Defer action
All three are valid. The assessment stands on its own.
Tier 2: Readiness Correction & Capability Build
Purpose:
Close the specific gaps identified during the assessment and stabilize readiness.
Tier 2 work is intentionally scoped and data-driven. Only issues identified in the assessment are addressed.
Typical Focus Areas
-
Reducing dependency on key individuals
-
Aligning training and procedures with real execution
-
Implementing closed-loop quality and validation
-
Building mentor and troubleshooting capability
-
Ensuring confidence scales with system complexity
Outcomes
-
More consistent execution
-
Reduced escalation dependency
-
Predictable technician performance
-
Improved leadership visibility into readiness
Training, when developed, is targeted and rooted in real operational conditions—not generic content.
Tier 3: Embedded Critical-Phase Support
Purpose:
Provide focused, time-bound support during high-risk or high-tempo phases.
Tier 3 is optional and typically used during:
-
Production ramp-ups
-
Qualification or certification events
-
Launch or deployment windows
-
Major organizational transitions
This phase is about supporting execution, not owning it.
Sustainment
Where appropriate, engagements conclude with:
-
Final readiness re-scoring
-
Knowledge transfer
-
Sustainment recommendations
The goal is long-term capability without long-term dependency.
Guiding Principle
Training is a treatment, not a diagnosis.
Readiness is engineered through evidence, validation, and accountability—not assumptions.
Tier 3 is advisory, and time-bound by design.
Pricing Overview
Pricing is structured to provide clarity, prevent open-ended billing, and align cost with demonstrated need.
Tier 1 — Operational Readiness Assessment
Purpose: Diagnose readiness risk and quantify gaps before corrective action.
Includes:
-
Observation of real operational execution
-
Stakeholder interviews
-
Review of training and procedures
-
Application of readiness frameworks
-
Scored findings and executive readout
Typical Duration: 2–5 days
Fee Range: $6,500 – $12,500 (fixed fee)
Payment: 100% prepaid
The assessment stands on its own. Clients may act on findings internally or pursue additional support.
Tier 2 — Readiness Correction & Capability Build
Purpose: Close documented gaps and stabilize performance.
Includes (as applicable):
-
Targeted training rooted in observed execution
-
Closed-loop QA and validation mechanisms
-
Mentor and troubleshooting development
-
Confidence and readiness scorecards
Typical Duration: 6–12 weeks
Fee Range: $15,000 – $40,000+ (fixed engagement)
Payment: 50% at execution, 50% at midpoint or delivery
Scope is directly tied to Tier 1 findings.
Tier 3 — Embedded / Critical-Phase Support
Purpose: Support execution during high-risk or high-tempo periods.
Includes:
-
Time-bound on-site or remote advisory support
-
Real-time coaching and risk identification
-
Rapid feedback to leadership
Pricing:
-
$2,000 – $3,000 per day, or
-
$12,000 – $20,000 per prepaid week
Payment: Prepaid blocks only
Tier 3 is advisory support—not staff augmentation.
Most engagements begin with an initial consultation. Consultations are short, focused, and diagnostic.
